To ensure compliance with local health and safety guidelines, proof of full COVID-19 vaccination (at least 14 days after your final vaccine dose) with matching ID is required for all visitors 12 and older. You can provide proof of vaccination by displaying it on your smartphone, by presenting a physical copy, or by using the New York State Excelsior Pass or NYC COVID Safe App (Android | iOS). Other acceptable forms of COVID-19 vaccination proof are the CDC Vaccination Card or NYC Vaccination Record. Mask wearing is mandatory throughout the building.
Guests who are unable to comply with the proof-of-vaccination requirements of the Center and Emergency Executive Order 225 and who require special accommodation should call Visitor Services at (212) 294-8301, to schedule an appointment in advance.
The Center for Jewish History is located at 15 West 16th St. in Manhattan's Union Square neighborhood.

Coat check is available to guests, but we ask that you leave suitcases, large bags, and items such as bicycles, scooters, and skateboards at home.

Overnight free parking is available on 16th and 17th Streets subject to parking regulations between 6 pm and 7 am but not allowed during the day. Metered parking can be found on 5th Avenue and on 6th Avenue (Avenue of the Americas). Parking is free on Sundays.
All coats and bags must be checked for the Reading Room and Genealogy Institute. Backpacks and larger bags are not permitted in the gallery spaces. Unless otherwise noted, non-flash photography is permitted for noncommercial use only.
The Center for Jewish History is closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and all major Jewish and national holidays.
